Labor and Business Groups Endorse Scott Peters for Congress

November 3, 2018

San Diego — Today, the Scott Peters for Congress campaign announced a series of endorsements from San Diego and national labor and business organizations, firmly cementing Peters’ reputation as a problem-solver working with everyone for common-sense solutions.

Rep. Peters has been endorsed by the United States Chamber of Commerce, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Social Workers, the American Nurses Association, the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters, the Association of Flight Attendants–CWA and AFL-CIO, Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA), Teamsters Joint Council 42, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Southern California District Council, and from Joe Panetta, President and CEO of Biocom San Diego, the largest and most experienced leader in California’s life sciences sector.

“Business problems have bipartisan solutions. Bringing all sides together is the only way to bring sustainable change and real progress for our region and our country,” said Peters.

Should voters return him for a fourth term in Congress, Peters will remain focused on breaking through gridlock to reform our nation’s immigration system, address ongoing climate change, and forging an agreement between both sides to support business and workers and create high-quality jobs.
