Just two days before a critical election, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is urging San Diegans to get out and vote to re-elect Rep. Scott Peters. Clinton praised Rep. Peters’ bipartisan approach to solving problems in Congress, and encouraged the voters to send him back for a third term.
“Congress needs more members like Scott Peters,” said Hillary Clinton. “Scott is a bipartisan leader who stood up to the gun lobby — few in Congress are doing as much as he is to keep guns out of the wrong hands and reduce gun violence. Scott fought back when extremists tried to defund Planned Parenthood, and he is working to reduce the burden of student debt that’s weighing down America’s families. I strongly urge voters in the 52nd district to get out and vote for Scott Peters.”
“There is so much at stake for Americans up and down the ballot on Tuesday,” said Rep. Scott Peters. “We need leaders in Washington who will break the gridlock and stand up for what’s right. I am grateful for this support from Hillary Clinton and look forward to working with her to make college more affordable, reduce gun violence, and continue to grow an economy that leaves no one behind.”
