Scott doesn't care whose idea it is. He cares whether it works. He's spent his career getting Democrats and Republicans into the same room, and getting things done for San Diego.

Long before Congress, he was San Diego's first City Council President and later Chair of the Port. He helped the City of San Diego cut sewer spills 80%, set up the city's independent audit function and deliver $2 billion in downtown redevelopment.

He's running again because the work isn't finished. San Diegans can't afford San Diego. Sewage from Mexico continues to close our beaches and the climate is changing faster than Washington.

Scott would rather fix a problem than fight about it.
