What to Avoid
The virus is spread mainly person to person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes; therefore the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed and to avoid exposing others.
This means avoiding assisted living and nursing home facilities to reduce the chances of elderly people becoming infected. Hospitals and other healthcare facilities should also be avoided, unless you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or a medical emergency.
Public gatherings are also to be avoided when possible, and social distancing practices are to be observed when going out for groceries or other essential services.
